CSA - Community Supported Agriculture
Small Potatoes Farm connects to families and individuals
through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
shares. If you are looking for the freshest organic produce
available in your community, grown by a farmer you know,
in a sustainable way, our CSA is just what you're looking
for.

Supporting members of our CSA buy a share of the farm's
weekly harvest during the regular growing season. By
supporting the farm through a CSA share, we can
concentrate on production and sustainability, rather than
marketing. This direct farmer-to-CSA member relationship
gives people the opportunity to know from seed to plate
who, where and how their food was grown. As farmers, we
think it is as equally important to know who, where and how
our food is eaten.

Our CSA season runs from about the first of June
through the first hard frosts in late October or
November. For our regular share, we deliver until the
last Tuesday or Friday in September. We offer half of
our regular shareholders an extended share - until we
can no longer deliver, hopefully another 4 - 5 weeks.
For the regular and extended share combined, we
plan for at least 22 consecutive weekly deliveries of
crops that are in season and at the peak of ripeness.

We work hard to provide our members with the
highest-quality vegetables possible. From spring
salad lettuce, to summer's incredible tomatoes, to
fall's sweet carrots, our goal is to continually impress
you. A share should provide generously for a
household of two adults and two children, although
this varies with family eating habits. Often, new CSA
members find themselves eating more vegetables,
cook more often and eat more meals with family
members. We get very frequent comments about
children eating vegetables they previously have
shunned.
Becoming a part of Small Potatoes Farm through a CSA share is an excellent way to invest in the
health of your family and your community. Besides taking home a box of fresh vegetables each
week, you also get an opportunity to effect change in our food and agriculture system.
