CSA - How to Join Small Potatoes CSA
Shares Available for Current and New CSA Members

Small Potatoes Farm will begin selling 2008 CSA shares beginning Dec. 10th,
2007 for people who held a CSA share last season and beginning Feb. 15, 2008
for new members. Your membership for 2008 season is secured upon receipt of
your application.

    New Members begin Feb. 15, 2008. New members added on a first
    come, first serve basis.

Availability

    Des Moines Area and Ames CSA shares are sold out for the
    season. If you wish to be placed on a contact list informing you
    of the earliest date to sign-up for 2009, please send me an
    email.


Ames Delivery

We will have 40 regular shares available for Ames delivery in 2007 through Farm to Folk Collaborative (F2F). F2F is a local
foods market that offers people traditional CSA shares as well as a weekly menu of many other homegrown food and fiber
products, such as grains, dairy, meat and wool. They can be ordered for pick-up at the same time as your CSA share. To

deliveries will be available for pick-up on Tuesdays.

This location is great for the Urbandale/Clive area. It filled up last year with a lot of new, but ardent food-loving members.
Walnut Hills is an inviting church that puts its progressive faith into action.

The Drake/UMC group is a wonderful collection of people. They are great at sharing recipes and stories. Pick-up is on
Fridays from 4 - 6 p.m.in the church basement. Again, this year the distribution will be coordinated by
Cheryl Fraracci.
Traditionally, group members take turns being available on distribution day to help with logistics.

Fourteenth Street is a self-starting neighborhood drop consisting of a garage, a refrigerator and a special host family - the
Lauers.

The Unitarian Church is a new drop-off this season. The church members are very excited about supporting local food
systems. Church members have first opportunity to sign up for pick-up at this site through Feb. 15.

You can choose to pick up your share at the farm, anytime on Friday afternoon or Saturday. This is often a good option for
people who live near us. You might also form a group that would take turns coming to the farm for a dual visit/pick-up. We
do have a discounted price for on-farm pick-ups.
